Websites are on our mind as we begin to revamp our own site here at Events.org. But before we roll out our new site, here are some great website features that we came across during our research.
Horizontal layout: Most websites use a two column with a top banner approach. Change it up like The Horizontal Way and have your screen scroll horizontally instead of vertically. A horizontal layout can make a lot of information seem slightly more manageable.
Animation: Leo Burnett‘s homepage is basic and to the point. And right off the bat, you know that they are a creative, well-established, tech-savvy company.
Interactive features: Red Frog Events‘ website is fun to explore because of its necessary interaction with its visitors. Learn about what they do by turning a gumball machine lever. Very cool.
Another site with great interactive features (makes sense because that’s what they do) is Jellyvision. Check out what they call interactive conversations which are embedded on their clients sites.
