Thank you to Motorola Solutions, the 2012 Corporate Honoree and Erika Bartelstein, this year’s Celestial Ball Chair.

Unique Fundraisers

As event season kicks into high-gear, committees will be getting together to discuss upcoming fundraisers.  We’ve all been to the same fundraisers….dinner, opening statements, bid sheet silent auctions.  It’s the same old song and dance.  Let’s liven up the party a little!

  1. Direct Action Fundraising – Many of our clients have opted to participate in Direct Action fundraising.  For example, during the paddle raise, the first paddle raise will be $250 to purchase a student’s uniforms for the year, and as many guests who want to purchase uniforms for a student can raise their paddle.  Another example is donating $500 to feed a shelter for a week; again everyone can participate and donate to as many specific causes as they wish. Event Season is Around the Corner…What’s In Vogue?

We certainly don’t claim to be your local fashion experts, but in light of Fashion Night Out, we thought we would talk a little about the upcoming event season.  And we all know what question comes with that….What am I going to wear?

For the fellas out there, let’s take a look at what’s been on the red carpet over the last year.  Here’s what Esquire had to say about the men at Cannes.  And what they had to say about last season’s Oscar’s.  The biggest take-away for the men:

Their secret was the tailoring, proper cutting, broader lapels, a close but not severe fit. And, crucially, full black-tie fig.

Now ladies.  Vogue chose some beautiful looks for their two look books after Cannes (Part I and Part II).   Color is in, as are sequins.  Here is what Vogue lists as the latest trends.

We look forward to seeing you in your spectacular attire this season.  Happy shopping.
