A little St. Pat’s trivia

Because Chicagoans love St. Patrick’s Day, here is a little St. Pat’s trivia for all of you.  Enjoy!

Chicago River - green for St. Patricks Day

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the most leaves ever found on a clover is 14….I’d love to see a picture of that.  Raise your hand if you’ve ever found anything but a 3 leaf clover.  I thought so.

According to legend, St. Patrick drove all of the snakes out of Ireland and into the sea….apparently Indiana Jones should move his digs to Ireland.

On the Irish flag, orange represents the North, green represents the South, and the white in the middle represents the peace that binds them.

On average, every American consumes 22 gallons of beer a year…Both sick and awesome.  Well done America.

The original Guinness Brewery in Dublin has a 9,000 year lease….Ridiculous.  Wish I was their broker.

The circle in the center of the Celtic Cross represents the sun.

We hope all of you are enjoying your St. Patrick’s Day.  Sláinte!
